Our Home

I have left this section blank for so long now and it is time for me to give it a little love. You may remember "Sophia" from my "New Life for Old Furniture" Section. Well, now you are going to get a taste of what she has been up to. You'll see my completed coffee filter pendant lamp, our DIY picture shelves and other home made pieces that we have been hard at work on these past few months in between Parenting and Photography sessions. So, here is our Cozy Cottage of Love in the making.... This dining table was $25 off of Craigslist. A beat up plain wood top and yellow bottom. The Chairs also off of Craigslist part of a larger set. The set now goes nicely with the beachy armoire in the living area. Next up to finish is our entry way/mud room coat rack. Stay tuned. It will be a beauty!

We are still in need of some drapes. I have a plan for some no-sew curtains. The painting of the furniture needs a once over because I did it in a rush. But in this home we do not do perfect anyhow. So, they will be fine for now. I will have my eye out for new fabric for the dining chairs. A work in progress, as always.
